Why is it important to look: Eyes open!

Looking around us offers us to see from different perspectives

Looking around us offers us to see the world. When we take a moment to look out in to our world helps us to step out of ourselves and see the world physically for what it is. This world includes people, those people carry stories, and those stories carry impact that only our eyes can bear witness to each and every day. To see is the first key in creating an opportunity for change.

Why is it important to listen: Ears open!

Listening to others impacts us to understand

how to grow

Different stories that we've heard even stemming from childhood have an impact on the type of people we have and will become. It is vitally important to allow space for other voices to speak. Agreement is often hard but understanding can be created when we allow for other perspectives to be heard. one key thing is understanding that listening has nothing to do with our voice being heard but has everything to do with our ears being open.

Why is it important to be silent: Mouth shut!

Allowing space creates a safe place for others to express their heart

Often times when we hear stories our main reaction is to give input or try to solve the issue that we have heard but often times that is that last thing that most are asking for. When we place ourselves in a place to be quiet and allow for the other person to be heard we create a safe space for expression as well as create a valuable place for those who have never been listened to before, we lear to allow over press and force our opinions or advice on to others.
